FAREWELL!
The past 18 months have presented some huge challenges for many of us. During these times we have had to make big decisions and have seen some real changes.
A time of tears, laughter and life long memories made, this chapter finally comes to an end!
Sadly we must say goodbye to Lucy and Stu, who came to volunteer for 6 months in November 2019. For the past 2 years they have been an incredible part of the Libelula team. Those of you who stayed at Libelula will know what an amazing job they did making guests feel welcome and maintaining high standards.
They not only helped and supported us on a professional level but came to our rescue as friends, standing by when we faced some of our hardest days we've ever seen as a family. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness and for surrendering their own time to ensure the smooth running of Libelula.

We wish them luck on their next adventure along with our 3 other volunteers who after 6 months are off to explore different corners of the world.
We also say goodbye and good luck to Costa Rica Regenerativa, who after 2 years of building ‘Base Camp’ at Libelula are moving to a larger site to grow their project.

Libelula faces an exciting future with a new team of volunteers arriving for the 2021/22 season. I am looking forward to leading this young group of hospitality professionals from across the pond, helping them to deliver the unique and enriched experience we offer.
We are super excited to welcome the collaboration between Doki Sushi (click the link to see their instagram) and Libelula starting November 2021. This Japanese restaurant will be open to resident guests and the public 7 days a week. Watch this space….
Finally, we are opening up our family home to be part of the hotel accommodation, providing the option of a 3 bedroom property to guests. This is a great opportunity for small groups and families to enjoy their own space while having the use of the hotel facilities and restaurant.
